As you know we've had to postpone our Reno event. We met with the state health department prior to the race, and they advised us that the air quality was so bad that pollutant levels were actually twice above the maximum limit for safe outdoor activity.
Due to these circumstances, each participant will have three available options:
After speaking with the venue about their schedule, we have found that the earliest date we're able to secure for a return will be sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2014. Once that date is finalized, you will receive an email indicating the date and you will be automatically enrolled to run at your current wave time on that day, no hassle, no stress!
The closest event to Reno on our 2013 schedule is in Sacramento, CA on Sep. 7th. If you or members of your team would still like to participate this year and can make this date and location, you may transfer your registrations to this event - free of charge - by contacting our customer support team at (801) 798-5451, or via email at email@example.com. Should you select email as a method of contact for registration transfer, please allow at least 72 hours for processing and response.

We, like you, feel terribly disappointed about the need to postpone the race, especially after having completed course set up. However, we value your safety above the fun of the run. Despite having to postpone the event, we would like each participant to know that inspite of circumstances, dontations to Special Olympics Nevada were fulfilled in order to continue their reach and influence in your communities across the state this year.
